Circle of Security was originally developed for parents, but now there is a version that takes into account the demanding world of educators.

Circle of Security Classroom is a professional learning series designed to help educators and early care professionals bring attachment awareness into the classroom and early care settings.

The program provides educators with a kind of ‘road map’ for understanding children’s attachment needs and how those needs are expressed through behaviour. This greatly improves educators’ ability to build quality relationships and create a nurturing and secure environment for children.

This is an evidence based program that facilitates a number of positive outcomes including improved learning and developmental outcomes for children, and increased job satisfaction for educators

About the Program

Circle of Security Classroom is a reflective learning series that runs over 8 weeks (1 x 1.5 hour sessions each week). It combines psychoeducation and self-reflection, and provides a framework for educators to reflect on their own attachment experiences and recognise how these may influence how they understand and interact with children.

This is an interactive learning series and must be attended live.

The live zoom meetings are held at 4.30pm AWST on the following dates:

Week 1 - 6th May 2025
Week 2 - 13th May 2025
Week 3 - 20th May 2025
Week 4 - 27th May 2025
Week 5 - 3rd June 2025
Week 6 - 10th June 2025
Week 7 - 17th June 2025
Week 8 - 20th June 2025

As each session builds on content covered in previous weeks, it is recommended that participants attend every session, and make arrangements to ‘catch up’ on any content missed before the next session. Those who expect to miss more than two sessions are advised to enrol in a later course.
