Terms & Conditions
Thank you for agreeing to participant in the Circle of Security Parenting Program. This is a parenting reflection group designed to enhance the quality of relationship between you and your child and foster what is known as secure attachment. In order to help the group run efficiently, I have provided this brief outline to clarify our mutual responsibilities to the group. If you have any questions, please feel free to raise them with me at any time.
Attendance
The groups will run for a maximum of 90 minutes once a week for 8 weeks. In order to be respectful of everyone’s time, it is important that each session starts and finishes on time; thus, I ask that you please arrive on time.
This is a progressive learning group, meaning that each session builds on previous sessions. As such, full attendance is needed. If you are unable to attend a session, then it is recommended that you make time to go over the missed content with another group member prior to the next session or book an appointment with myself at an added cost.
This may be hard to relate to right now but, in the event that you are absent, your absence will impact the dynamic of the group. If you foresee yourself needing to miss more than 2 sessions, then it is recommended that you wait and take the group at a later date.
Fees and Cancellations
The cost of the program is $696.00 ($87.00 per session including GST). This fee is payable in full prior to the first session and is not refundable once the group has commenced.
Confidentiality
In order to establish the group as a safe space where members can participate fully, all information shared within the group must be kept confidential. Please do not share other members’ names, personal information, or personal stories with anyone outside of the group. As a psychologist, I take all necessary steps to maintain confidentiality; however, it is important to note that my registration as a psychologist makes me a mandatory reporter.
This means that, as part of my duty of care, I may be required to disclose your information to the relevant parties if: I become aware of significant and immediate risk of harm to yourself or others; I become aware of a child or children at risk; or if I am legally ordered to do so by a Court Subpoena.
Health and Safety
It is important to remember that we are still living in a COVID climate. Please do not attend any face-to-face sessions if you are sick or have any cold/flu like symptoms. If you do become ill, please notify me as soon as possible and we will try to make other arrangements to cover the content.
Online Sessions
When attending sessions online please be sure you take appropriate steps to ensure minimal disruption and allow your full participation. Ensure you have a good WIFI/cellular connection, a private space that is free of background noise, and a stable surface for your device. You may enter to the waiting room a few minutes early to check your camera and audio settings.
Continued Support Beyond the Group
Sometimes this kind of work can uncover difficult emotional content. If this happens and you feel you would like additional support, then please feel free to contact me and I will be very happy to help you access the right help.
